| The fall of 1995 witnessed a resurgence of the powerful cultural phenomenon known as Beatlemania. This recurrence was sparked by the release of the first new recordings by The Beatles in decades. This was made possible by Paul, George and Ringo laying down tracks over an existing vocal track John had recorded before his death. "Free as a Bird" is one of those new tunes that premiered to millions in a network TV special on the band. A two-volume, retrospective CD set was also released in conjunction with this special. These songbooks feature selections from that recording called "The Beatles Anthology, Volumes 1, 2, and 3". Volume 1 (presented here) includes "Free As A Bird" and 26 more Beatles classics transcribed for piano with vocal and optional guitar chords. "Selections From The Beatles Anthology 1" weighs 13.76 oz. |
