| With the opening of the American Theater in 1893, the tradition of theatrical production became what we now know as Broadway. It was there that such well known composers and lyricists as Marvin Hamlisch, Stephen Sondheim, George and Ira Gershwin, and Andrew Lloyd Webber catapulted to fame, creating music with appeal that has spread around the world. In this book you will find a collection of some of the most memorable selections from many of the best-loved stage productions from Broadway's 100-year-plus history. These selections are presented for piano with lyrics and optional guitar chords, and are sure to delight any fan of the stage as well as everyone who appreciates fine music.
