Description
The 101 songs in this collection capture the spirit of the 40's. Thousands of soldiers were returning from the second world war, television shows were the talk of the town, and swing music was the rage. Oscar Hammerstein II and Richard Rodgers were introducing hit songs from such popular shows as "Oklahoma!", "Carousel" and "State Fair", and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holliday and Duke Ellington were popular performers. This is a great collection of music, presented here in the "EZ Play Today" format, that features the melody line (with large, easy to read notes!), lyrics and chord symbols. "Essential Songs Of The 1940s" weighs 27.52 oz.
