| Description |
| John Thompson has created a method book that approaches playing the piano in a more "modern" way. The series focuses on musicality early on. While the students are learning the notes, rhythms, and patterns, they are also learning about phrasing, musical form, tempo, shading, and other musical style skills. This series provides a clear and complete foundation in the study of the piano that enables the student to think and feel musically. "The Third Grade Book" picks up where the last book left off. The main focus in this book is teaching interpretation and trying to get students to make their own musical interpretation and not simply imitate. To help with technics, this book book includes twenty-four preludes in all keys. These etudes are the perfect tool to help build familiarity with all keys and also build basic technic. It is a wonderful combination. "John Thompson's Modern Course For The Piano, The Third Grade Book" weighs 9.92 oz. |
