Description
John Thompson has created a method book that approaches playing the piano in a more "modern" way. The series focuses on musicality early on. While the students are learning the notes, rhythms, and patterns, they are also learning about phrasing, musical form, tempo, shading, and other musical style skills. This series provides a clear and complete foundation in the study of the piano that enables the student to think and feel musically.

"The Fifth Grade Book" is the culmination of all of the preceeding books. It really works on pianism and musicianship. The other books covered style, conception, structure, and technics. This book is the chance for the student to perform classical works that illustrate all of those items. They will be performing works by many famous composers. "John Thompson's Modern Course For The Piano, The Fifth Grade Book" weighs 13.12 oz.
