| Description |
| Aram Khachaturian was born near Tiflis on June 6, 1903 and died in Moscow on May 1, 1978. Khachaturian emerged as one of the most popular and successful composers of the Soviet period. His unique musical idiom was indelibly marked by his Armenian heritage and his scores are noted for their sensuous melodic writing, colorful orchestration, and elemental rhythmic drive. This legendary Armenian composer created this pulse-pounding and affecting concerto in his inimitable style. No serious pianist should be without it! Our collection features an accomapaniment CD containing the work being performed twice by a professional philharmonic orchestra. The first performance of the work is complete with the piano solo. The second performance of the work has just the orchestral accompaniment. You will provide the solo part. It is an exciting format and we are thrilled to offer it to you. It is the perfect package for any recital, jury, or concert. "Aram Khachaturian - Piano Concerto" weighs 16.96 oz. |
