| These works by Maurice Ravel belong in every pianist's collection of fine music. Ravel, a Frenchman, and composer of music that was innovative in the early 20th century, was inspired by Maniere and Borodine. His works were influenced by World War I, and the six pieces contained in "Le Tombeau De Couperin" were each dedicated to friends lost in the war. He was sometimes compared to Schubert, but was also recognized for his own personal style. "Maurice Ravel - Piano Works, Volume III" weighs 16.64 oz. |
